From Lab to Market: IIT Delhi’s FITT Forward 2025 Puts Deep-Tech Innovation in Spotlight
New Delhi, August 19, 2025 – India’s deep-tech ambitions are set to take center stage this week at FITT Forward 2025, a two-day national summit organized by the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi. Scheduled for August 21–22 at the IIT Delhi campus, the event arrives at a crucial moment as India positions itself for a transformative “deep-tech decade.” Billed as IIT Delhi’s annual flagship platform, FITT Forward is designed to accelerate the journey of ideas from research labs to real-world markets. This year’s edition will bring together a powerful mix of startups, policymakers, global investors, and corporate leaders, united by a shared mission: to shape India’s next wave of innovation in frontier technologies. BRIDGING RESEARCH WITH IMPACT “At FITT, we have always been the bridge between cutting-edge research and real-world impact,” said Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, Managing Director, FITT-IIT Delhi. “With FITT Forward 2025, we are creating a platform where innovators, investors, and industry leaders converge to accelerate deep-tech breakthroughs. Our goal is to transform promising ideas into scalable ventures—addressing pressing challenges and unlocking opportunities for India’s startup ecosystem and beyond.” The summit aligns closely with national initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat, making it a strategic venue for translating research excellence into market-ready solutions.
