CM Siddaramaiah Inaugurates Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 at BIEC

Bengaluru, The 28th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS 2025), organised by the Department of Electronics, IT & Bt, Government of Karnataka, along with the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), will be inaugurated on Tuesday by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar.

The high-profile gathering will also feature keynote addresses from D K Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries; Ilse Aigner, President of the Bavarian State Parliament, Germany; Jan Christian Vestre, Minister of Health and Care Services, Norway; Nicholas Reece, Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Australia; Rafal Rosinski, Deputy Minister of Digitisation, Poland; and Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI.

A major highlight of the opening ceremony will be the plenary session titled “India Futurises: From Leap-frogging to Pole-vaulting.” The panel includes Priyank Kharge, Minister for IT/Bt and Rural Development; Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-founder of Infosys and Chairman of Axilor Ventures; Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Executive Chairperson of Biocon; and Prashanth Prakash, Founding Partner at Accel India.

At the pre-event curtain raiser, Kharge was joined by Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda, Chairman-Keonics; Manjula N, Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Bt & S&T; and Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur, Director, Department of Electronics, IT & Bt and Managing Director, KITS.

Speaking at the curtain-raiser, Priyank Kharge said the summit has evolved into a “truly global innovation platform” spanning information technology, biotechnology, DeepTech, space, and sustainability.

He also announced ‘The Future Makers Conclave’, a new initiative conceptualised for BTS 2025. The conclave will bring together nearly 10,000 founders, investors, innovators, and ecosystem leaders, offering exposure to capital, pilot opportunities, business tools, mentorship, and strategic networks. “This flagship gathering will deliver tangible value for every participant from aspiring entrepreneurs to seasoned leaders,” he added.

Themed “Futurise”, this year’s summit will bring global leaders and innovators together across sectors, including DeepTech, Biotech and HealthTech, Semiconductors, and Startup Innovation.

BTS 2025 will feature ten specialised conference tracks such as IT & DeepTech, Electro–Semicon, Digi Health & Biotech, India–USA Tech Conclave, and Global Collaboration and Startup Ecosystem. Sub-tracks will include AI Universe (a prelude to the India AI Impact Summit), Defence & SpaceTech, Finverse, Academia–Industry Collaboration, Assistech, and Women in Leadership.

The event is expected to attract 50,000 visitors, including 1,000 investors, 15,000 participants, 500 speakers, and 1,000 exhibitors. Delegations from 60+ countries and all 30 Indian States and Union Territories will participate in over 80 knowledge sessions and 5,000 curated meetings focused on strengthening India’s position as a global innovation powerhouse.

officials confirmed that the Karnataka government will also unveil three major policies during the summit the new IT Policy, Startup Policy, and Space Technology Policy and aimed at accelerating the state’s technological and entrepreneurial growth.
